Humble Beginnings
Michael Darr was born in 1987 in California. He grew up in a working-class family with a passion for cars. Darr's father was a mechanic, and he spent much of his childhood in the garage, learning about cars and how to fix them. At the age of 16, Darr got his first car, a 1989 Nissan 240SX. He quickly fell in love with drifting, a driving technique that involves intentionally oversteering a car while maintaining control. Darr began practicing drifting in the local mountains, and he quickly developed a natural talent for the sport.
Early Career
Darr's drifting career began in 2006 when he entered his first competition. He quickly rose through the ranks, and in 2008, he won the Formula Drift Pro Championship. Darr's success on the track led to him being featured in several magazines and television shows. He also began to develop a following of fans who were drawn to his aggressive driving style and his infectious personality.
Setbacks and Challenges
Darr's drifting career has not been without its setbacks. In 2010, he was involved in a serious accident that left him with a broken leg and a concussion. He was forced to miss the rest of the season, and it took him several months to recover from his injuries. In 2013, Darr was again injured when he crashed his car during a practice session. This time, he suffered a broken back and a torn ACL. He was forced to miss the entire 2014 season while he recovered from his injuries.
Despite these setbacks, Darr has never given up on his dream of becoming a professional drifter. He has always returned to the track stronger than ever, and he has never stopped pursuing his goals. Darr's perseverance and determination are an inspiration to everyone who knows him.
Personal Life
Outside of drifting, Darr is a devoted husband and father. He is married to his wife, Nicole, and they have two children.
